Interior

The inside of the Nissan Maxima is packed with some awesome standard features thanks to the NissanConnect^® system with an 8-inch touch-screen display. With it, you can access both Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto™ as well as streaming audio via Bluetooth^®.

You'll also get a standard Wi-Fi Hotspot that allows up to seven devices to connect to at any time.

If you use Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, you can set up your car with them as well. After doing so, you can use voice commands to start your vehicle or make sure the heat is turned on before hopping in.

Performance

The Nissan Maxima's 3.5-liter V6 engine is paired with the XTRONIC CVT^® (Continuously Variable Transmission). This transmission features a Drive Mode Selector, allowing you to choose between Normal and Sport Mode while on the road.

Using Sport Mode, you can cruise the streets with enhanced movement thanks to increased throttle, steering, and transmission responses. As a bonus, and to keep you as informed as possible, Sport Mode activation means that relevant engine information pops up on your 7-inch Advanced Drive-Assist^® Display to give you increased knowledge about such metrics as your speed. 

Power isn't lacking with this vehicle either, as this engine and transmission combination will get you 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque. This provides you with an EPA-estimated 20 city and 30 highway MPG.¹

Trim Levels

The 2021 Nissan Maxima features four trim levels to choose from:

• SV
• SR
• Platinum
• 40th Anniversary Edition

All trims have access to the above technology and engine features to allow you to enjoy your experience in the driver's seat. If you choose a higher trim level, you can access additional features.

For example, the baseline SV trim comes standard with heated front seats. The three highest trims upgrade these to climate-controlled front seats that offer heating and cooling. These trims also feature a standard heated steering wheel.

The Platinum and 40th Anniversary Edition trims, however, are the only ones to make available heated rear seats. These provide second-row passengers the same comfort that's enjoyed upfront. In fact, the 40th Anniversary Edition comes standard with this feature.

Overall, many of the features are quite similar across the trims. Regardless of the trim you choose, you're going to experience incredible comfort.
